FREE THE UIGHUR MUSLIMS
China is holding the Uighur Muslims in detainment camps. They need our
help.
WHY SHOULD WE CARE
The Uighurs are from a region in China where the major religion is
Islam. Slowly, the Han Chinese began to opress the Muslims in this area.
In 2015, they began to be placed in internment camps, similar to how the
Jewish people were placed into camps during World War II. This needs to
be stopped before it becomes another Holocaust.

THE FACTS
The Muslim Population of Xinjiang(home to the Uighur People): 12 million
2018 estimate of detainment(first report): 120,000 detained for supposed
extremism
Second estimate of detainment in 2018: A million Muslim people placed in
camps
Current estimate of detainment: Unknown, but at least 2 million
Even with 2 million of them in camps, the Uighur people left in their
homes still face opression, and treatment almost as bad as within the
camps.
IN THE CAMPS
The people inside the camps are treated inhumanely. They are beaten,
shot, their heads shaved, and more. Women are forced to take birth
control, and some are sterilized, to prevent a future generation. All
the while, China complains its camps are voluntary.
